EverHeart Hospice Welcomes After-Hours RN 

EverHeart Hospice is pleased to welcome Laura Sowers as the newest member of their care team. Laura fills the role of After-Hours RN. Having an after-hours team allows EverHeart to offer 24/7 on-call availability to meet patients’ needs.

Sowers attended nursing school at Kettering College, where she earned her RN license and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

The family atmosphere of the workplace inspired Sowers to seek a career at EverHeart Hospice, but it was a personal experience that sparked her interest in the Hospice field.

“I would say I didn’t choose Hospice- Hospice chose me,” she shared, stating that her choice to work in the field was solidified after her own father received Hospice services.

In her spare time, Sowers enjoys reading. She is married and has four daughters, a son, and a granddaughter, as well as two dogs and two cats.
